Stationary Set Expectations
is to create a proper business stationary set for yourself. This will be the start of your Portfolio and first impression anyone will get from you as a designer. It is important that these look professional.
What you are to create.
The business card & logo: represents your brand. Not only does it convey important personal contact information such as name, title, email, website, address and phone number, but oftentimes it is also the first exposure to the overall image of the business. These cards should be professional enough to hand to a potential employers or clients.
A resume: is to give your potential employer a feel for your past experience and skills. Remember you are trying to sell yourself, so emphasize your strengths. Most employers look for a steady job history and positive patterns of progression (i.e. increased responsibility, promotions).
A cover letter: is a one-page business letter that you submit when applying to a job, along with your resume. As a piece of persuasive writing, your cover letter will aim to convey to the employer why you're a great candidate for the role.
You are required to research what is needed on a proper resume and cover letter.
Be sure to set your focus wide enough to be applicable to many different types of employees and to shine a positive light on yourself.
